Ammo inventory Pro
Rounds on hand by caliber and load. Choose a load when logging a session and what you fired is deducted, with low-stock warnings at a level you choose.
Import from a spreadsheet New
Already keep a list in Excel, Numbers or Sheets? Import the CSV, match the columns, and your firearms appear with their serials, prices and round counts.
Insurance report Pro
A printable PDF with a summary page plus a page per firearm with its photo, full serial number, purchase details, value and receipts, or export everything to CSV.
Home Screen widgets New
Small, medium and Lock Screen widgets with collection value, rounds fired, rounds this month, what’s due for cleaning and low ammo.
App icons & themes Pro
Make it yours with Sky, Olive Drab, Ember or Stealth. Each theme comes with a matching Home Screen icon.

Private by design
Your records are sensitive. Digital Armory never sends them to us.
Your iCloud, not ours
Data syncs through your private iCloud database. We have no servers, accounts or analytics and can’t see your information.
Face ID lock Pro
Lock the app with Face ID or Touch ID, and keep serial numbers hidden until you tap to reveal them.
Nothing leaves without you
Photos lose their location data before they’re saved. Exports and reports are created on your device and go only where you send them.

Support
Help with Digital Armory for iPhone and iPad.
Include your device model, iOS version and the app version from Settings → About. We usually reply within a few days.
Getting started
What’s free and what needs Pro?
The free version holds up to 2 firearms and includes photos, the range log, maintenance, the sight-in calculator, documents, the sold & transferred archive, spreadsheet import, widgets and iCloud backup. Pro is a one-time purchase that removes the firearm limit and adds ammo inventory, the insurance PDF report and CSV export, receipts, Face ID lock, wind and weather corrections with a dope card, saved sight-in profiles, and app icons and themes.
How do I import my existing spreadsheet?
Export your list as a CSV from Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets, then open Settings → Import from Spreadsheet (CSV) in Digital Armory and choose the file. Match each column (make, model, caliber, serial, price and so on) and tap Import. Firearms whose serial number is already in your armory are skipped, so importing the same file twice doesn’t create copies. Add photos and receipts from each firearm’s page afterwards.
I bought Pro but it isn’t unlocked on my other device
Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account you bought Pro with, then open Settings in Digital Armory and tap Restore Purchases. If you were refunded or the purchase is still pending, Pro will stay locked until Apple completes it.
How do I group identical firearms?
Firearms with the same manufacturer and model group together automatically. To group others, give them the same group name when editing. You can turn grouping off in the sort menu on the Armory tab.
Backup and sync
My data isn’t syncing between my devices
Make sure each device is signed in to the same Apple Account and that iCloud is turned on for Digital Armory (Settings → your name → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud). Sync can take a few minutes, especially for photos. You can check the status in the app under Settings → Backup.
How do I back up my records?
When you’re signed in to iCloud, your armory backs up automatically to your private iCloud account. For an extra copy, Pro users can open Settings → Export Inventory (CSV) or create an Insurance Report PDF and save the file somewhere safe.
How do I move my data to a new iPhone?
Sign in to the same Apple Account on the new iPhone, install Digital Armory and open it. Your firearms, photos, documents and logs download from iCloud automatically. Pro unlocks on its own, or tap Restore Purchases in Settings.
Photos are using too much iCloud storage
Go to Settings → Photo Storage, choose Compact, and tap Shrink Existing Photos. Compact photos are usually 100–250 KB each.
How do I delete my data?
Delete records in the app at any time. To remove everything from iCloud too, go to Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage, choose Digital Armory and delete its data.
Range, ammo and documents
How does ammo inventory work with the range log?
Add your loads under Range → Ammo with the rounds on hand. When you log a session, pick the load you shot and the rounds fired are deducted. If you edit or delete the session, the rounds are put back. Set a low-stock level for each load to get a warning on the Range tab and in the widget.
How do I find my range when logging a session?
Tap the location field in a new session. Your recent ranges appear first, and you can search Apple Maps by name. To see Ranges Near You, allow location access when iOS asks; the app only uses your location while you’re in it. The location name and pin are saved only with that session, in your own data.
How do I measure a group from my target photo?
When you log a range session, add a target photo and tap Measure Group on Photo. First tap the two ends of something with a known length, such as a 1 in grid square, to set the scale. Then tap the center of each bullet hole. The app fills in Best group and shows it in MOA for the session’s distance.
Which devices can measure a target with LiDAR?
Measure Target with LiDAR works on iPhones with a LiDAR scanner (iPhone 12 Pro and later Pro models) and recent iPad Pro models. Hold the phone square to the target, about 1 to 2 feet away. The shutter turns on once the phone is level enough for an accurate reading. On other devices you can still measure groups by setting the scale by hand.
What happens when I mark a firearm as sold?
Open the firearm and choose Mark as Sold or Transferred from its menu. Record the date, buyer or recipient, price and notes. The firearm moves to the Sold & Transferred archive with its photos, range sessions and maintenance history intact, and its value leaves your collection total. If you get it back, you can return it to the armory. Sale records are included in the CSV export.
What can I store under Documents?
Carry permits, NFA tax stamps, purchase permits, hunting licenses, warranties, bills of sale, appraisals and insurance policies. Add photos of each page, optionally link the document to a firearm, and set an expiration date to get a reminder before it lapses. Reminder timing is under Settings → Reminders.
Maintenance and widgets
When do cleaning reminders arrive?
Turn them on under Settings → Reminders. You’ll get a notification when a firearm reaches its day interval, the morning after a range trip pushes it past its round interval, and weekly while it stays overdue. You can choose the time of day. Reminders are scheduled on your device; nothing is sent to a server.
The widget shows old numbers
Widgets refresh when you make changes in the app, and iOS may delay updates to save battery. Open Digital Armory once to refresh it. If the widget shows placeholder text, remove it from the Home Screen and add it again.
Sight-in
How accurate is the sight-in calculator?
It estimates the bullet’s path from your muzzle velocity, ballistic coefficient and sight height. Unless you enter wind and weather (Pro), it assumes sea level, 59 °F and no wind. Use it as a starting point, enter your real ammo data, and always confirm on paper at a safe, approved range.
Which way do I turn my scope turrets?
Turn each turret in the direction the app shows. For example, if your group is high, dial DOWN. Turret markings vary between scopes, so check your scope’s manual for its direction and click value.
How do I print a dope card?
With Pro, open Sight-In, set up your load, zero and conditions, then tap Dope Card. You can print it from the share sheet or save it as a PDF to Files.
Privacy and security
Face ID isn’t working or I’m locked out
The app lock uses your iPhone passcode as a backup. Tap Unlock and enter your passcode. You can turn the lock off in Settings → Privacy.
How do I change the app icon or color theme?
With Digital Armory Pro, go to Settings → App Icon & Theme and choose Sky, Olive Drab, Ember or Stealth. The Home Screen icon and the highlight color in the app change together. iOS shows a short message to confirm the icon change.
Can I buy or sell firearms in the app?
No. Digital Armory is a private record-keeping tool. It doesn’t sell, transfer or advertise firearms, ammunition or accessories.

Who we are
Digital Armory ("the App") is published by Dylan McCaffrey ("we", "us"). Contact: 33.savings-voyager@icloud.com.
Information you enter
You may enter details about your firearms (such as make, model, caliber, serial numbers, purchase prices and values), photos, receipts, documents such as permits and licenses, ammunition on hand, range sessions and their locations, maintenance records, sale and transfer records, and sight-in settings. This information is stored:
- On your device, protected by iOS data protection, and
- In your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit), if you're signed in to iCloud, so it can sync to your other devices and be restored.
Your private iCloud database belongs to your Apple Account. We have no access to it. Apple handles iCloud data under Apple's Privacy Policy.
What we collect
Nothing. The App has no accounts, servers, analytics, advertising, tracking or third-party SDKs. We don't receive, store, sell or share any personal information. This website is a static page and sets no cookies.
Permissions
- Camera and Photos: used only when you choose to photograph or attach images of your own items. Photos are compressed and location data is removed before saving. When you measure a target with LiDAR, the depth reading is processed on your device and only the target's measured size is saved with the photo.
- Location (while using the app): optional, used only to show shooting ranges near you when you pick a location for a range session. Your position is used once for that search and isn't stored. If you pick a range, its name and map pin are saved with that session in your own data. Range searches are performed by Apple Maps under Apple's Privacy Policy; we don't receive them.
- Notifications: optional, used for cleaning and document-expiration reminders. Reminders are scheduled on your device. No push server is involved.
- Face ID / Touch ID: optional, used only to lock the App. Biometric data never leaves Apple's Secure Enclave and is never available to us.
Widgets
The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show summary figures (such as collection value, rounds fired and items due for cleaning). The summary is shared between the App and its widget on your device only.
Purchases
Digital Armory Pro is sold through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment and we receive no name, payment details or other personal information. Your purchase is tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on your other devices.
Exports and reports
If you export your inventory as a CSV file or create an insurance report PDF, the file is created on your device and shared only where you choose to send it. Exported files aren't encrypted, so please store them securely.
Your control
You can edit or delete any record in the App at any time. Deleting the App removes its data from your device. To remove the iCloud copy, go to Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage on your iPhone or iPad and delete Digital Armory's data. You can revoke camera, location and notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Children
The App is intended for adults aged 18 and over and isn't directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.

↑ Back to topTerms of Use & Disclaimer
Last updated October 10, 2026. These are the same terms you accept in the app.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By tapping "I Agree" or using Digital Armory (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use and Disclaimer ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App and delete it from your device.
2. Eligibility and Lawful Use
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and that you are legally allowed to own or possess every firearm you record. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and to follow all federal, state, provincial and local laws on owning, storing, carrying, transporting, shooting and transferring firearms and ammunition. The App does not tell you what the law requires, and nothing in it is legal advice. Laws change and vary by place, so check them yourself.
3. Firearm Safety Is Your Responsibility
Firearms are inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury, death and property damage. The App does not teach firearm safety or replace professional training, a qualified gunsmith, range officer instructions, or the manufacturer's manual. You alone are responsible for handling, storing, cleaning, maintaining and shooting your firearms safely. Always follow the basic rules of firearm safety: • Treat every firearm as if it is loaded. • Never point a firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy. • Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target and you have decided to shoot. • Be sure of your target, what is behind it and what is around it. • Wear eye and ear protection, and shoot only at a safe, approved range or location. • Store firearms unloaded, locked and out of reach of children and unauthorized people. • Use only the correct, factory-specified ammunition for your firearm.
4. Sight-In and Ballistic Estimates
Holdover, drop, click, MOA/MIL and trajectory figures are mathematical ESTIMATES from a simplified model. Unless you enter wind and weather, the model assumes standard sea-level conditions and no wind. It always assumes a level shot and a steady wind, and it relies on numbers you enter or on generic presets. Wind, altitude and temperature corrections are estimates too. Real results vary with your firearm, ammunition lot, optic, mounting, temperature, altitude, wind, shooting angle and shooter technique, and may differ significantly. Scope turrets differ by manufacturer, so always confirm adjustment direction and click value in your optic's manual. Never rely on these figures for any shot where an error could injure a person, animal or property. Always confirm your zero and holdover by shooting on paper at a safe, approved range. For hunting, verify your zero before every season and follow all hunting regulations and ethical shot-distance limits.
5. Maintenance Reminders
Cleaning reminders are general scheduling aids based on the intervals you choose. They are not a manufacturer's maintenance schedule or an inspection. They do not mean a firearm is safe to fire. If a firearm malfunctions, is damaged, or you are unsure of its condition, stop using it and have it inspected by a qualified gunsmith.
6. Your Data, Backups and Security
Everything you enter, including serial numbers, values, photos and receipts, is stored on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your private iCloud account managed by Apple. The developer of the App does not receive, see or store your data. You are responsible for the accuracy of your records, for keeping your own backups, and for securing your device, iCloud account and any files you export (such as the CSV inventory). iCloud sync depends on Apple's services and may be delayed, unavailable or fail. Data can be lost through device loss, account problems, software errors or deletion. Keep separate copies of anything important, such as receipts and serial numbers for insurance or police reports. Values shown are only what you enter and are not appraisals.
7. No Warranty
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP OR ITS CALCULATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE, ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS OF DATA, OR LEGAL PENALTIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR RELIANCE ON, THE APP OR ANY INFORMATION OR CALCULATION IT PROVIDES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
9. Assumption of Risk and Indemnity
You understand and accept the risks of owning and using firearms. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claim, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of firearms, your use of the App, or your breach of these Terms or any law.
10. Changes and Contact
These Terms may be updated. When they change, the App will ask you to accept them again before you continue. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the App.
